Pat's Schoolhouse and Learning Vision conferred three Child Care Awards

Singapore, 1 October, 2010 – Long-established pre-school centres in Singapore – Patʼs Schoolhouse and Learning Vision – have won three prestigious Child Care Awards between them in this yearʼs award programme organised by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). The two pre-schools were the only two winners in the Outstanding Programme Award category. In addition, the Outstanding Infant Educarer Award went to Ms Jessica Marie, an infantcare teacher and assistant nurse at Patʼs Schoolhouse – Baby Haven.

The annual Child Care Awards presented by MCYS in partnership with the Workforce Development Authority and other supporting organisations honour excellence and professionalism in early childhood education.

Patʼs Schoolhouse and Learning Vision are part of Busy Bees Southeast Asia (formerly known as Knowledge Universe) family, one of the worldʼs leading education organisations which provides provide early childhood to tertiary education and Teacher Education. Busy Bees Southeast Asia was also conferred the inaugural Outstanding Employer Award this year by MCYS for the child care industry.

Founded 22 years ago by Mrs. Patricia Koh, the school is highly regarded for its bilingual immersion which hassimilates the learning of two languages concurrently. “Itʼs an honour to be recognised for our teaching approach,” said Mrs. Koh. “We will continue to celebrate childrenʼs curiosity, creativity and confidence so they will enjoy their childhood and be empowered to shape their understanding of the world.”
